 Wolfgang Gruber,

Univ. Prof.  Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria

 Eric Severson,

Ass. Prof.  University ofWisconsin – Madison, USA

‘The talk will emphasize the high potential of bearingless motors in a wide power range and several application domains, introducing the audience to recently developed bearingless motor topologies (like single-drive, magnetic geared, compact induction, rotor-PM-free), to different winding schemes (like multi-phase, dual-purpose no voltage, middle-point current injection) and to novel control methods (exploiting field weakening). Audience members will discover the potential for bearingless motors to reshape today’s magnetically levitated motor technology
